The Day We Met

There is a closeness here, but also a distance.

Two people share the same space, yet seem separated by something invisible. One figure appears almost as a memory, dissolving into the atmosphere around the other. I wanted to capture that strange space between intimacy and loneliness — the feeling of being close to someone while still longing to reach them.

The painting is about encounters, memory and the invisible traces we leave in one another. About what happens when someone enters our world, and somehow remains there.
