Fractal Shadow was painted six months after Fractal Human as its natural counterpart.

Inspired by Carl Jung's concept of the Shadow, the painting explores the hidden aspects of ourselves that exist alongside the Ego. If Fractal Human celebrates identity in its full expression, Fractal Shadow reflects the quieter, less acknowledged parts of the self.

Together, the two paintings form a Yin and Yang. Their contrasting colours deliberately refuse to harmonise, suggesting that wholeness comes not from denying our shadow, but from recognising it as an essential part of who we are.
